As Director Global Sustainability at Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin), Jan van Rompay is responsible for steering and implementing Orbia Building & Infrastructure’s sustainability programs to achieve a positive impact. Jan van Rompay leads Orbia Building & Infrastructure’s global sustainability team and function and his scope of responsibility covers areas such as decarbonization, life cycle assessments, circular economy, water replenishment and community engagement. In addition, Jan is supporting the Orbia Global Sustainability team as the lead for Orbia on ESG reporting regulations.
Jan brings a personal commitment of purpose-driven impact, and over 15 years of experience from roles in sustainability as Senior Director Sustainability at Lumileds, Executive Board Member at LightingEurope and Principal Consultant at Capgemini Consulting. Jan earned his masters degree at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and completed an executive program on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability at Erasmus University, the Netherlands.
